headcase 0 Posted January 26, 2006 I have never had a fill and I have had my band over one year. I was banded in Mexico and when I came home I had swollen closed and was very dehydrated. I spent 5 days in the hospital, but since then things have been fine. I've lost abot 45 pounds, and decided to get my first fill. Also, I would mention that I am really tight in the morning, but by evening I can eat just about anything. My doctor is going to be very conservative with the fill, and I was told to be very careful about what I eat for a few days. Any advice from anyone? Is anyone else tight like this in the morning? Alexandra 55 Posted January 26, 2006 Many, many people report being tighter in the morning. I think it has something to do with Fluid distribution/retention in the body. There's a school of thought that says eating at night makes the problem worse, so try to eat more in the daytime and less in the evening. In a few days you should find a little more even pattern of restriction through the day. Good luck with your fill--take it slowly!
JAYGERL05 0 Posted February 11, 2006 I just got my 3rd fill of 2.5cc in Jan/06 and I can not eat or drink in the morning. I was not restricted on my first fill of 1.5cc or my second of 2.00cc but nowI am restricted and I hate not being able to eat Breakfast. If I eat or drink it gets stuck and try to come back up. So I only eat lunch and dinner.< /p>
paula 4 Posted February 11, 2006 Kind of a general rule to keep on hand... anytime you are feeling too much restriction, try drinking warm beverages (hot broth, hot choc., coffee, hot tea). For my early morning restriction, I usually a cup(s) of hot coffee - and it helps! Good luck on your first fill.
Iluvharleys 15 Posted February 11, 2006 Try eating less in the evening and see if that will work for you. Some people eat large meals at night and are too tight the next morning.
