Re-Banding

I am wondering if anyone has had this experience>? My first band slipped after almost 3 years. I was so horribly sick, and in so much pain, I have been terrified to get rebanded. I have been almost 3 months without my band, and have been trying to keep my lost previously lost off. Of course, I am having a difficult time. My surgeon told me there is a newer band out, a wider band which can contain 14cc of solution. He said they are having better luck with "no slipping". I am now thinking of being "rebanded". Has anyone gone through this? Was the second banding successful? Thank you for any input!

I had my band removed in Sept. 2010 and had the bigger one put in Mar. 2011. Mine slipped too but it was because I was too tight and didn't have any removed so I was vomiting. Now I am extra careful. I just got my third fill Tuesday and now seem to have good restriction but I'm just on mushies right now. I am very glad that I got the band again and I haven't had any problems yet.
