sdca1999 0 Posted June 20, 2011 I am only in week 3 and the puree foods are not working for me. I cannot bare the thought of eating one more thing pureed. I am pre-occupied about food all day long. How do I know if this is real hunger or just more pyschological? How can I get re-focused and back on track?
dawnk 1 Posted June 20, 2011 SDCA1999 I feel you and I haven't even got to the pureed foods, at this point I would like to just have something to chew on. It's really hard and I'm trying to stick it out. Look at this way, you only have 1 more week.
Rachel412 116 Posted June 20, 2011 It's normal and I'm sorry you're having a hard time! Maybe cottage cheese, at least you can chew it...

How do I know if this is real hunger or just more pyschological? How can I get re-focused and back on track? At week 3 it is probably real hunger. It took me 8-10 weeks before my band started to do what I was expecting it to do. Week 3 I was on mushies. Different Soups, chili. scrambled eggs, quiche, mashed sweet potatoes. and on and on. At this point it is not about loosing weight or controlling hunger. It is all about fully healing before they can get down to real business.
tnt21705 8 Posted June 20, 2011 I was the same way. Try cottage cheese, re-fried Beans, or creamy Soups. Before not to jump to far ahead on the foods. Your stomach needs to heal properly.
