ljoeb 0 Posted June 21, 2011 Hi Lisa.... I'll have mine done this Wednesday too, but at Seton Hospital in Austin, TX. I've been on a carb restricted diet the last 2 weeks and have lost nearly 13 lbs (that's a guy for you... ha!). Only liquids tomorrow. Hope all goes well for you! Bandedboomer 7 Posted June 21, 2011 Lots and Lots of Luck! I just had my surgery last Monday and it was fantastic! I had no sickness, little pain or gass and got up and walked right away as the doctor suggested. I have read several articles that suggest that if a doctor or anestheseist makes a suggestion during your surgery your brain takes it in. Therefore, I asked my anestheseist to tell me, "Delphine, you will recover quickly and have little pain." He agreed to do so and I honestly feel that is why I am having such a great recovery. You might just ask him or her to say it because it certainly can't hurt. Again, Extra good luck!
