mcteri 3 Posted June 16, 2011 Last night I started having a sever sharp pain in my abdomen right at the site of the biggest incision in the middle. It actually hurt so bad that I would cry out in pain. It feels like something sharp has come undone and is poking me. My surgeon told me after I had my lap band that I have deep sutures that will be sore for a while, and they are, but this is in a different spot that that as far as I can tell. Any one else have this experience? Wondering if I should call the doc, or just let it pass, but I am not sure I can wait that long..Not sure what to do. Cindy C 150 Posted June 16, 2011 Did you eat something you shouldn't have? I get a pain there if I overeat. When I was newly banded I got a horrible sharp pan once when I bent over and twisted the wrong way. The pain lasted a day or two.
Janiece 64 Posted June 16, 2011 Have you worked out recently? Or moved boxes ior anything that involved a twisting motion? For about six months after surgery I would have pains when I did something involving too much abdominal movement. My surgeon said it was probably the stitches/sutures. Usually they were sharp, stabbing pains but they would go away almost instantly. If it continues, you should definitely go do your Doctor! Good luck! mcteri 3 Posted June 16, 2011 I didn't eat anything I wasn't supposed to, and it isn't really a pain in my stomach..but I did do a work out yesterday that was some abdominal work, but I didn't think over did it.. maybe I did. I guess if it isn't better by tomorrow I will call the dr, before the weekend. Thanks everyone.
