AppleBand 1 Posted June 15, 2011 So, I went to the doctors on Monday for pre op stuff. I get my band TOMORROW!! Anyway, I have been on these clears with Protein Drinks for 3 days and have not lost ANYTHING!! I am nervous now that the band won't even work because apparently eating less that 1,000 calories the last couple days has done nothing to my fat stores. Am I expecting too much?? I would love some feedback because I feel doubtful at this moment.
Cindy C 150 Posted June 15, 2011 It's only been three days! Don't stress out. It took time to put it on. It'll take time to come off. GL tomorrow!

Rachel412 116 Posted June 15, 2011 Tell you what. Put away your scale right now. Take it out again when you're two weeks past surgery. You'll be thrilled at how much you've lost.
Thee-O 15 Posted June 15, 2011 Don't worry about the weight loss right now and honestly don't worry about it to much until you start getting fills. The first 6 weeks is about healing. Don't focus on the scale just yet. Just get through the surgery and recovery. Focus on that first.

Thanks, you guys are the BEST!! I guess I am just getting anxious, excited and nervous! I have been working for this since last October and now my band is waiting for me tomorrow!!! I am so ready, prepared, informed... blah blah blah, but I have had such a hard time with weight loss thus far, I am afraid I will be THE ONE it just doesn't work on. vickyd 24 Posted June 15, 2011 Also keep in mind that the majority of people with bands eat more than 1,000 calories per day. Not everyone can lose effectively on less calories.

anewwayoflife 0 Posted June 15, 2011 Hope your surgery went well and you are feeling better today. I felt the same way. One day I lost two lbs and then I didn't for a few days and then I dropped 3 lbs. So I think some people take it off in different time frames.

I would love some feedback because I feel doubtful at this moment. I went to my pre-op education class on the 14th. I had been on a liquid diet (self imposed) for two weeks and had only lost 5 lbs since my last visit two weeks earlier! Some of us are just very slow losers, and I'm finally at an age (54) that I realize this and am willing to be patient this time. Don't give up! It will eventually come off!!!!!
