EX SMOKER CRAVING TO SMOKE AGAIN AFTER SURGERY

Recommended Posts

Omg. the last 2 days have been complete hell. I quit smoking 28 days ago. And thought the worst was over. Until I hit about a day before my one week POST OP apt. Being on liquids for another Week! I don't know what is going on, if I am mourning the loss of the eating food part or what, but I want to smoke worse than I did when I was going through the withdraws from it the first few days I quit. I don't know what to do! I worked so hard to quit and I am going insane..... Any other ex smoker go through this? What to do?????

I went thru this a few days after surgery. I think it's the not having either one of your comforts giving up food and cigs is rough. You need to find something to distract yourself from the cravings try sipping Water when u want a smoke or if you can have it a sugar free Popsicle that may give you the hand to mouth action. I craved the act more than the smoke so suckers were my saving grace before surgery. Be strong all of this is worth it for a healthier you.

hello smokers, was wondering if there where any out there......lol, i am completely convinced it is the loritab, i have to take it every so often for kidney stones and when i do the first thing i think of is who has a smoke, had to quit for the surgery actualy stopped approx 6 months before, and after surgery and liquid loritab, somewhere in my head i was thinking one would'nt hurt me, plus i sooooooo deserved it.... not like it has any calories in it............hummmmm so now here i am 2 months later getting my chantex refilled. GOOD LUCK TO ALL! I know it can be hard but i truely think the loritab makes it harder.

Quit smoking 6 months ago. Unfortunately, I still think about it every day. It is getting better. so, hang in there. If I can do it, you can do it.

I also caved today. I am so disappointed with myself. I am going to do my best to keep it under 5 cigarettes a day until I can eat mushies and then quit again when I can also walk as much as I used to. I can't sit here in my house and go crazy anymore with nothing to keep busy. Because I feel I am handicapped. 28 days I made it. Next time I hope it will be for good!
