This is an NSV BECAUSE:

This is the first year I dressed up for Christmas since I was a teenager. I always thought I looked like a fool to dress up, infact I tried to dress as not to be noticed at all. And I NEVER wore a Dress!

Not only did I wear a dress, but nice shoes too. I got this dress in a bag of clothes from someone off of freecycle and I was just gonna wear it as a lounging gown, but I clipped a flower to it, my daughter quickly put together some matching earings with her bead kit and all I had to buy was 10$ shoes at Paylesss shoes..

My whole family was amazing "oh my, you dressed up" "you look so pretty" "you have a figure"...

This was especially nice since I had stopped losing weight and I really never felt any different until this day.

Damn, I wish someone was here with a camera! I stopped wearing these jeans months ago because they were too tight. I grabbed them this morning out of "need to do laundry desperation" and not only do they fit, but I can pull them off without unzipping. How can I take a picture of me pulling off my own pants?

ok, so here's MY NSV picture.

Me and the 2 little ones AND the dog - on the 4 wheeler. Marcus snapped the pic then jumped on. What a zoo.

Only thing that wouldve made it better...

if we wouldve been in a mud field!

yeehaw!

GRRR, I keep trying to re-size this so it's not all ginormous!

Anyways, my photo NSV is the fact that I even let people take my pic now. This is the sexiest pic I have since you can see my bra (I think I had one too many cosmopolitans this weekend!)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
