bernadette 0 Posted January 24, 2006 From what I am reading, it is my understanding that when ever you get fills, the doctor is supposed to remove the old Fluid before putting in new fluid??? Mine does not do this. Should I be concerned? Should I ask him to remove the old stuff first??? Also, and this may sound stupid but, can the saline evaporate? Pianoman 0 Posted January 24, 2006 The contents of the band should be removed prior to your fill, to check to see if any saline solution was lost between adjustments.
Kryssa 1 Posted January 24, 2006 What Pianoman said. Plus, if there is any air in your band the saline can most certainly evaporate. I had that problem with my first fill: there was alot of air in my band, the Dr didn't get it all out and half my saline disappeared before my next fill.
