Yes, definitely call your doctor. It really does sound like you are too tight. Fills can take up to 2 weeks to take affect, and that's just about the right amount of time from May 19.

While you're waiting to get in to see the doctor, don't eat dense Protein (or really any solid foods) for at least 3 hours before bedtime. Try drinking some warm tea or at least a glass of Water about 30 minutes before bed to help rinse out your upper stomach.

Put bricks under the legs of the head of your bed. Just sleeping on pillows won't do it, you have to elevate the bed.

Please get this seen to as soon as you can. Reflux like you describe can lead to aspiration pneumonia and other not so nice problems.

I agree, call for a slight unfill. I had to do the same thing. I was a bit too tight, and as soon as he took out some, I have not had this problem since. Good luck. Karen

PS:my surgeon was totally willing to follow my instructions, he said you know both your band and your body!

I agree with what the other posters said. This is one of the sure signs of being too tight and can cause all sorts of problems. I really think you should call your surgeon's office and get in there ASAP/today. They can take out a very tiny bit of Fluid and you just may find yourself at your sweet spot.

What is spew? I only know of it as a verb. :)

If you mean vomit - sounds like you are having reflux. Sudden onset of reflux can be inidicative of needing adjustment and/or slip. Notice I didn't say "means you have," so don't panic. Just do call and speak with your care provider about it.

Before you lay down for bed, how do you feel? Do you feel "normal" or are you feeling any "stuck" feelings, or pressure that isn't always there?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
