shrinkingbeautyqueen 0 Posted June 7, 2011 I am new to the forum and considering lap band surgery. I am currently 34 and have been overweight for some years. I have PCOS since 2007 and weight loss has been very slow along with infertility. I am hoping that lap band can help me to beat the obesity. Does anyone else have PCOS and the band? Have you been able to conceive post Lap Band? Please share your success I need as much inspiration as I can get.
PackersFan 4 Posted June 9, 2011 Hi Shrinking Beauty, I don't know what PCOS is... but I have been extremely pleased with the results of my surgery. You should know that in order to have the greatest chance for success you will have to work hard. The band helps keep you from eating large volumes of food and it does help reduce your hunger, but to do the best at this - you'll need to really commit to eating healthier, exercising and following your surgeon's guidelines. I haven't even for a second regretted my decision, but just know that it does take some effort.
jay150 5 Posted June 9, 2011 I am also 34 and have been overweight for years. I do not have PCOS, but getting the lapband was the best decision I ever made for myself. I am down 60 pounds in just about 4 months and feel so much better,. Good luck to you in whatever you decide to do!
