Marcib 1 Posted June 6, 2011 My surgery is tomorrow. I'm paralyzed with apprehension. I know I'm doing the right thing but I feel SO undecided. Any comments are welcome and thanks.
CheckYes 46 Posted June 6, 2011 I was scared too. It's totally normal to have those feelings. It's been the best decision I ever made. I wish I would have done it sooner.

Happy2Band 2 Posted June 6, 2011 Hello, My surgery is on Thurs and I am nervous, too. I guess it is natural. It's so nice to read that other people are feeling some of the same things. I thought it was me.
dk4k 15 Posted June 6, 2011 It is a scary thing to face, but you will all soon find that you are stronger than you knew when you are standing on the "other side". You are brave to face your fears and improve your lives. Best of luck to you all!
Marcib 1 Posted June 8, 2011 Hi everyone surgery went well. I'm still tender and moving slow but I do have gas I can't seem to get rid of. I really need to burp but it won't come out. I'm also experiencing hunger I don't know what that's about.
Alli789 0 Posted June 8, 2011 Hi everyone surgery went well. I'm still tender and moving slow but I do have gas I can't seem to get rid of. I really need to burp but it won't come out. I'm also experiencing hunger I don't know what that's about. Congrats! Im 6 days post op and I can tell you I had gas pain for 3-4 days. Im still releasing some I think. As much as you might not feel it, it really does help to walk it out. I had a pretty rough time with everything, including horrible gas pain, but pushed myself to pace around the house a bit, and it did seem to help! I also took the pain meds prescribed to help for the first 2 days. GOOD LUCK!!

roziecakes 20 Posted June 9, 2011 I found that I was actually feeling hungry about six hours after I got home from getting surgery. I was really shocked, and I didn't expect it! Glad to know I'm not the only one.

Marcib 1 Posted June 12, 2011 @drummer so excited for u and ur up coming surgery. It was pretty difficult for me during the 2 weeks prior (liquids). Now that I'm on the other side I will tell you this is really making me confront myself and my relationship with food. I think for me its going to be a bumpy ride but I will get there. I have decided to restart weight watchers for additional support. Good Luck! And Gods speed with your recovery. And when your feeling up to it please let me know how u are doing after surgery.
