Fit into a new size today

Recommended Posts

I started off with a tight 18. And I have a bunch of 16's that are new that I have had forever that I bought when dieting and never made it that far. All my clothes are getting really baggie, so I thought I would try on some of the 16's and I can get them on AND zipped. Hehe. They are still tight, but it still feels good to get the zipped and buttoned.

10 more pounds, I bet they will fit really good ;)

Thank is so great!!!

I did not keep any of my skinnier clothes, they made me feel horrible to just see them hanging there. Not sure what I am going to do if I really loose weight. I guess I will figure that out in a few months

Congratulation

That's excellent! It feels good doesn't it. I didn't keep much smaller clothes and the ones I did I already out shrunk them. I did get a pair of capris last week a size 16w and they felt a tiny bit big, so I tried on a normal 16 and they zipped and everything but tight, and they were 98% cotton so I was afraid I wouldn't fit in them once I washed them, but I know maybe 10 # or so I will no longer be in the womans section, I can't wait!

I put on old swimshorts today to do some laps in and found out I can only swim backwards in the shorts because they would fall off!! Some of the issue may be the dry rotten elastic, but I choose to believe it's my 10 lbs! (I was just banded last Tuesday!)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
