SkinnyInside=) 5 Posted June 1, 2011 So my surgeons office had me print out a 12 page questionair about my weight / history. Ive been asnwering honestly but some of these questions Im kind of scared to answer. Maybe if i answer wrong it will set my surgery back ? For example : What is the quailty of your sleep ? Good __ Fair __ poor __ How often do you wake up more than once durning the night ? Never _____ Always _____ Do you feel sleepy durning the day ? Does beinf active make your chest feel right or make you wheeze ? Now .. for one .. I have a new baby at home .. so no , i dont get alot of rest altho he is sleeping thro the night . So yes , i am tired durning the day sometimes . Yes , i do wake up at night but only because of my baby . And im FAT OF COURSE i feel out of breath when i excerise ! Do i wheeze ? No but im certainly out of breath ! How am i suppose to answer these questions ? I dont wanna say anything wrong . : / Whats up with the sleep apena test ? Do they want you to have a problem sleeping or not ? Is it better for insurance if you do ? Im so lost. =(
reverie 49 Posted June 1, 2011 Just answer the questions honestly...if you feel the need to explain a few of them to the doctor then by all means do so. I think you're truly overthinking this, lol. It's like asking someone if the name you're writing on the paper is your own. They're asking these questions to determine whether or not you may have underlying health conditions such as sleep apnea, asthma, etc. If you have sleep apnea then yes it can make getting approved for surgery a lot easier. TKW 501 Posted June 1, 2011 Yep, just be honest. Those questions are to determine if you have sleep apnea. They need to know these things for your own well being so be truthful. Don't read to much into it, just be honest.
Jess55 97 Posted June 1, 2011 I think I would answer the questions from before you had your baby. Yeah they just want to see if you have sleep apnea. You may have to go for a sleep study, to see
