goosemommy 3 Posted May 31, 2011 another question is,everyday i get up i have this pain under my rib cage,when i woke up at the hospital i told the nurse,i could not breath very good,and she said that normal,something about my diafram??also when i try to take a deep breath,its very sore.4 days after surgery.??when i lay in bed at night,i can only lay on my right side,or back,when i do get out of bed,im very sore,like someone beat me up. NJGirl32 43 Posted May 31, 2011 I would say that sounds normal-I feel the same way (except I do not get shortness of breath). Remember they were in your tummy with all kinds of instruments so it's expected to be sore. I would be concerned about the shortness of breath. Do you have that breathing machine that you blow into? I dont have shortness of breath now,it was after i woke up form surgery,i tried to take a deep breath and it kind of was painful.Yes they sent me home with a breathing machine.Thak so much for the info.
