sassy k's mommy 1 Posted May 26, 2011 Many doctors office uses the intial weight. However if its a insurance requirement they are checking to see if you can lose weight on your own. Many times your insurance company requires you to do a six months supervisory diet with a physician.

54Shirley 105 Posted May 28, 2011 He should set up the Tests, and Specialist's that you have to see. Like Cardiologist, ,Dietitian, etc... I had the two I mentioned plus psych., Internal Medicine, and Physical Therapy. They broke everyone up into 1 specialist a month, this way you are also always weighed (REMEMBER THAT) Once you skip the weight like the 4th. month, You would have to start getting weighed all over again for another 6 months. Only difference was I had 12 months of dieting. Get a paper Folder, and every time you visit, and get weighed ! Get a print out. If they give you a hard time tell them what ever you say does not matter, you must have a print out for your file. Then make copies of everything, so you have a file on you. If they lose anything,, It's no problem for you, you can copy it and give it to them. You will save yourself a lot of hassle if something should get lost. So talk to him, and see what he wants to set up for you. Shirley.
