SVM10 6 Posted June 20, 2011 the same surgeon who did my band is doing my tt - I should have asked him last week when I was in the office, but I didn't think of any questions then. It doesn't really matter how long I am in - surprised that a tt is an outpaitient surgery - but I would rather be at home anyway. Hello Ladies, Thanks so much for this thread, I am getting a little nervous. I am having my TT in June 28th and no one in my family is supportive of it. I know how I want to look and I have lost 70lbs. and would like to lose 10 more pounds. I know it will be painful and mine will be outpatient as well. Please hope and pray that all goes well as i will for you too.
eduKTR 1 Posted June 21, 2011 I know that you don't know me, but you have MY support! You have worked so hard and you deserve to have the TT. It doesn't sound like an easy surgery, but what has been easy about this whole thing? I am just starting (27 pounds lost), but I want you to know that your success inspires me, and I wish you all the best. You go girl! jms462001 9 Posted June 21, 2011 I'm scheduled for an extended Tummy Tuck, face lift, and upper eye lids on July 11th. It will be done in an outpatient surgery center. I found a surgeon who has a good reputation for working with weight loss patients and actually was the only one who would agree to do all the work at one time. I am super nervous and wish I was staying in a hospital for a couple of days!! I only have help for 2 days so I hope I do ok.

jms462001 9 Posted June 21, 2011 I have only told my daughter. I have to tell my son who lives in the area. I know he is not going to approve, especially when he hears how long I will be in surgery. I need to tell him soon. I will be happy to lose the shapers in this heat!

Jerzeegator 0 Posted June 26, 2011 Hi All... It has been a log time since I have been on....I had my band done in July 2010 and lost close to 60 pounds, I recently met with a plastic surgeon and planned a TT and Lipo and Just had it it done this past Tuesday and I am in the midst of my recovery. I still have my drains in and and wearing compression clothing for my arms, flanks, thighs and face and I can't wait to see what I look like when all the swelling goes down. If anyone has any questions please ask It has been a wonderful adventure. Jerzee
mauraclegg 29 Posted June 26, 2011 How exciting Jerzee How come so many compression devices for TT and Lipo? Did you have full body done? I am only about a month away from my TT now and I am growing more and more excited to be rid of the excess skin that I now think looks like a set of freakin udders on my midsection - although not looking forward to the pain

Ahhh the pain well that was pretty intense those first few days but it gets better, for me its tough to move around since so much has been worked on. I am very thankful for my husband and adult children to help me. I can't believe I have had both surgeries done in under a year and I am excited to start my new life and look.... How long did your drains stay in? I'm really nervous and excited. I've the pain is excruciating but worth it. Please tell me anything you think I need to know. Thanks!!! Jerzeegator 0 Posted June 27, 2011 I had to wear slip on shorts and a zippered shirt as I could not lift my arms above my head and flip flops. I don't have a pain pump but if you can get one DO IT. I still have my drains in and I had surgery 6 days ago.... So here are my thoughts on prep..... if your doctor says you need compression stuff get it and bring it the day of surgery. Set up where you plan on recovering get a towel or medical pad for sitting... tissues, wipes extra napkins ect . I actually went and bought a couple of zip up bathing suit cover ups so it was easy for my hubby to do my drains and using the bathroom.I made sure I had plenty of Snacks and easy prep meals now that my hubby went back to work. I am still hurting but it gets better everyday and I know it is worth it I can't wait to go shopping. Jerzee
