the best me 6 Posted January 21, 2006 Have you had a fill yet? The band works best for most folks with a fill. It's good you have restriction, but it sounds as if you need a little more?
bandster_gal 0 Posted January 21, 2006 Im hoping that's what it is. He said that I had a lot of air and then put in just a little he said...
the best me 6 Posted January 21, 2006 Hang in there and schedule that next fill. A little bit can make a big difference...you'll know it when you get there. The band will bite back a bit harder and you will feel so full so much sooner, you won't want the bigger portions! Find that feeling/sensation and memorize it! When you have "head hunger", you'll need to remember that and stop. It's a little dance between your body, your mind, and your band. You have only just begun. Don't worry!!! the best me 6 Posted January 21, 2006 The Best Me, How did you like Dr. Kuri? My surgery is scheduled for Tues. 1-24-06 and everyone that I have talked to at is office is very nice. I'm a very happy Kuri patient. And I saw the pics of the new hospital, have you seen them on his website? Much much nicer than what I experienced! And still I'm a happy bandster. They will take good care of you. Congrats! And keep us posted! bandster_gal, let us know how your next fill goes. I'm betting it will make a big difference! Good luck! Justin 0 Posted January 12, 2008 Cause the craptacular service of the average insurance in the United States is simply appauling. The Lap Band was developed there and can be done for a low price professionally. I hate insurance companies since they denied my mother so much over the years. She is litterally falling apart. I have BCBS of Calif and they cover everything, she has BCBS of Illinois and she gets nothing. I hate those scamming life sucking bastards.
destined2befree 0 Posted January 12, 2008 I am of Mexican descent and my uncle is a Mexican doctor, but no way, no how would I have surgery in Mexico!!!! They simply dont have the standards of care that we have here in the states and there is a reason why so many docs here in the states wont take patients banded in Mexico. Be very very careful, I wouldnt do it, but know for some there is no other alternative, but I pray you'll be ok.
