Realize Band Forum?! lol!

Recommended Posts

So...I was just banded on the 20th and I got the Realize band. I saw that this site has a sister site specifically for Realize bandsters, so I figured I should check it out. There are like NO posts on there! Are any of you fellow Realize bandsters on that site as well? Am I allowed to just stay on this site since there's not much going on at http://www.realizebandsupport.com/ ? huh.gif

Many of us on here have a realize band. Other than the fact that the different tyes of bands have different capacities, there are really no major differences. There is a lot of good advice here regardless of the type if band they have...Welcome!

I am proud to say that I made the first post on that site. I haven't really been back since then. There is so much more activity here and as others have said, there is not any real difference in the type of band. They all do the same thing for us. I am VERY happy with my realize band. :D

I have a Realize band, but wasn't aware of the other site. Doesn't matter, I probably would stay here anyway. Love this site, and the band. Karen

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
