amberakamom 13 Posted May 23, 2011 I have my next appt on June 10th, and I can't decide if I want a fill or not. I am almost never hungry but I can still eat a lot more than I should. Almost as much as before surgery. I also still eat too fast and my bites are too big. Hard habit to break if you don't HAVE to. I count calories most days so that keeps me from pigging out, but I wonder if I need more fill. I have never been stuck, pb'd puked, etc..., and I don't want to. I have had 2 fills. My first was 5.5 cc, and my second was .6 cc. I have an 11 cc band. Maybe just a tiny fill? Any advice???
vickyd 24 Posted May 24, 2011 You could probably use another fill since you can still eat larger quantities of food. My surgeon's office looks at a lot of different things before deciding on whether or not to give a fill: 1) weight loss, 2) how much you can eat, 3) hunger between meals, 4) your opinion as to whether or not you need a fill. Every time I go in, I fill in a questionnaire with all of this info and then discuss my answers with the PA before we make a decision on whether or not to fill. So far, I have only had 1 fill but at that time I was doing fine in all areas except the fact that I was getting hungry about 1 1/2 - 2 hours after eating. She gave me a fill and I was fine after that...
Russian_BANDit_inNY 4 Posted May 24, 2011 My 2c ... 1) just playing with numbers here - you are 17 weeks post opp. And lost 41lb. That is 2.41lb/week WOW 2) you also 'almost never hungry' I would NOT get a fill.
