What was your Saturday menu?

I am on the liquid diet now, but I am curious as to what post-bandersters had to eat on Saturday for B-L-D and Snacks. It will be interesting to hear the variety and my inspire some meals choices!:)

Breakfast: I had a double dose of Muscle Milk Lite, Rx meds, 2 cups coffee, then headed to the gym at 6am. When I returned, I had a can of chicken Soup, about 8:30 am

Lunch: we were out, stopped at a diner, had salad bar with a cup of clam chowder. Did not finish the salad. I was not hungry!

Dinner: Burrito Bowl from Chipotle. Did not finish it. The chicken was overcooked and did not go down easy. Would have gotten stuck I'm sure.

Sounds Boring, but you asked.

Well, I figured that since the world was going to end I would spend the day pigging out! Imagine my disappointment when 6 pm came and went and I was still here! Now I have to burn off all those extra darn calories!

Be careful with bananas. They're notorious for clogging up!

Some of this stuff sounds really good! I can't wait until I can eat omlettes again! I didn't know bananas can get stuck...that's good to know! Love salads so I will look forward to that-especially with summer coming.

What is Protein-Peanut Butter bread?

Chilli also sounds good for mushies : )

I can't wait until I am on muchies- This liquid diet is for the birds!

3 eggs

90g peanut flour

60g whole wheat flour

56g greek yogurt (I used chobani FF, any will work probably)

60g brown sugar (I used Ideal, it's a brown sugar substitute)

1 tsp baking soda

200g banana, mashed

stevia to taste

1 scoop banana Protein powder (not needed; add more banana or flour if you don't have powder)

vanilla/banana extract to taste

Baked mine in 6 mini-loaf pans for 20 minutes or so. Made enough to last me all week; will be using pumpkin next weekend.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
