__B__ 0 Posted May 21, 2011 UUUGGGHHHHAAAA I have surgery in less than two weeks and I am a pretty tough cookie but I am bout scared to DEATH of all this lapband jargan... can someone please tell me what STUCK means? I know few of people that have had this surgery (real recent) but I haven't had an opportunity to talk to them, I quite frustrated at this point and rethinking the whole thing I expect to be out of work for like two weeks and light duty for another two maybe but I NEED INFO!!!! mattie7632 24 Posted May 21, 2011 It's sort of like getting food stuck in your throat, but not really. It happens if you eat too fast from not chewing the food enough. 54Shirley 105 Posted May 23, 2011 Also in time, you will find some foods that you can no longer swallow (POSSIBLEY) Like I can't eat bread, and I know it. So I just don't bother with it. I don't miss it at all though. Knowing that I won't get stuck, if I don't eat it. I stick to moist foods or foods that I can dip in a sauce. If you don't chew your food really good, anyone can get stuck, So I stick to moist food, and make sure I chew it down to nothing. That way I don't have to worry about getting stuck.
