shellylycz 0 Posted May 20, 2011 I was banded just yesterday, and did very well. I am in very little band from incision and such. But I seem to belch constantly, just like I drank a big swig of soda or something. After I belch yu would think I would feel better but I don't it is like I can feel a bubble go down my back and it hurts. Anyone know what this is all about? Since coming home today I am drinking very little cause it seems to hurt so much. Thanks, MIchele

Bob J 0 Posted May 21, 2011 Hi, I was banded on the 11th. First time surgery ever. It went seamlessly. Saw the Dr today for the first Post-op visit. Incisions look perfect. Pain is from the port and Gas. The gas is from the inflation of your abdominal cavity for the procedure. It provides a space to make the procedure easier. It can take up to a few weeks. Others I've heard say a couple. I still have the pains, which seem to mostly migrate to my left shoulder and back. Hope this helps. Bob
Jess_Zamora1310 0 Posted May 22, 2011 I had gas (burping) for two weeks! I sounded like a man lol what helped me was the gas x. The dissolving strips. Walking helped too. I was banded 4/
