Beachy_Babs 5 Posted May 20, 2011 I'm three weeks out and won't get my first fill until June 13th. I have been hungry and wanting to eat. I try to make good choices and measure out everything I eat as well as drink Water. It gets harder day by day. I could really use some advice and tips. Thanks for your time
chloes_countdown 1 Posted May 20, 2011 think about this period as "band bootcamp" a time for you to learn to be a successful bandster-in-training. Restriction probably won't happen at that first fill & you'll have a much easier time handling restriction (i.e. less stuck & pbs) if you pick up all the good bandster habits now. Protein first? smal bites? lots of chewing? getting your supplements? tracking food in & exercise out?
Rachel412 116 Posted May 20, 2011 If you keep eating your small meals and avoiding snacking on food thats not on your plan, you will get used to it. I know it sounds impossible but try to just focus on true hunger versus head hunger. I started drinking Decaf chai every time i was feeling hunger- for me the heat of the drink seems to convince my head hunger that i ate. The better you stick to eating on your plan now, the better you'll do when you get a fill. Hang in there, we've all been where you are!
Beachy_Babs 5 Posted May 20, 2011 Thanks for the advice! I am still sticking to small portions, but I can't seem to get away from bread......especially toasted baguettes. (I'm french so it's a stamp in my life). Other than that, I am making sure that I measure food. When I eat something that I haven't measured out, I feel really bad about it. vlp1968 83 Posted May 21, 2011 I too do Decaf coffee during the day. It's nice to have something, I strongly advice you to give up the bread, I have found that way back on carbs really helps weight loss. I eat lots of lean meats and veggitabls. Nuts (1/4 cup) and low fat cheese for a snack. Until you get restriction, your portions may be larger than when you get it. Focus on eating the right foods- low carb, low fat, high protien. Good luck!
