jay150 5 Posted May 19, 2011 Hi Everyone, I was just hoping to get some advice/opinions. I am a little over 3 months out of surgery and have had three fills to date (presently at 6cc). There are times when I still feel hungry after I eat, but I try my best to stick with the right portions. I am keeping my calories at about 1200 per day and my dr. said to stay at this level since I am consistently losing. The dr. also said that after the next couple of fills, I should really feel restriction and the hunger should subside. I am just wondering when others finally felt as though they were full after a small portion? Also, can you please share how many calories you take in per day? Just wondering if maybe I should attempt to decrease to 1000 calories per day. Thanks!!!
REDsparkles11 2 Posted May 20, 2011 Hey! I am around a thousand calories a day, give or take a few depending on the day. But I just had my second fill today, and Im at 3.5 cc's. Im pretty good when I eat, as long as I get my Protein in! If I eat chicken, fish, eggs etc. then Im usually pretty full afterwards and it lasts for a couple hours. You should start to feel satisfied soon I would think Good luck with everything! Kayla
vickyd 24 Posted May 20, 2011 You said that "there are times" when you still feel hungry after eating so I am assuming that this doesn't happen all of the time...What I would do is take a look at what you are eating during the meals that you still feel hungry after. Is the meal higher in carbs, lower in Protein than usual? Are there any dietary adjustments that you could try to see if that help? If not, I think you might need a small fill. When I got my first (and only) fill, I was losing weight at a good pace and my portion sizes were good but I was just getting hungry between meals. The PA suggested a fill and it really did the trick...I am still losing well and my portion sizes haven't changed but I am no longer hungry between meals. vlp1968 83 Posted May 21, 2011 Personally, I don't think the fact you are consistanly loosing means you don't need a fill. My doc, gave ne fills even when I was loosing weight fairly quickly. I explained how much I was eating and what my hunger was like. You may want to keep some sort of journal and bring it with you. Good luck!
