I started this process out in a size 18/20!

I can't believe it:)

My band is still being really finicky. I haven't had any restriction at all for the past 2 weeks. I can even eat bread again. My weight is staying the same though so I'm okay with it, for now. I'm going to see about getting another fill in a couple of weeks though.

My next goal is to wear a size 8. I can't believe I'm so close to single digits!!

I was banded in August and I've lost all my weight since then so 9/10 months approximately.

Congrats!! That's so great. I started out in a 26/28 tops and 26 bottoms and now I'm into a size 18. My goal is to be able to shop at a regular department store for my Disney vacation in November. I was banded in October 2010 so my hope is to be down about 100 lbs by then. I'm down 60 lbs now so more then half way there!

Thats amazing Amanda! I'm so happy for you! I started in a 24 and today I am exactly 6 months PP and have lost right at 50 lbs and am in an 18, almost to 16's.. they are a little too tight still lol. I have a pair of size 10's from AE that a friend of mine and those are my "goal" jeans right now. SO I am extremely JEALOUS of you right now! lol :)

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
