Jenn1214 120 Posted May 13, 2011 This will be my second TOM after surgery. I have been fine with sweets up until this point but for some reason I have been craving chocolate for the past few days. I have a piece or two to relieve it and it's fine, but I can't keep doing this. How do you ladies deal with the cravings and other PMS symptoms?
pixistix 1 Posted May 13, 2011 I eat 100 calorie dark chocolate bar from Trader Joe's (but just one!). The way I see it, this has to be a sustainable lifestyle that I can live with for the rest of my life. I'm not willing to never eat chocolate again. I want slow, steady weight loss and a healthy life. So far, so good. http://organicsusana.com/images/1266071547775-843219552.jpeg

I have been eating very little but your point is so well taken. I would rather lose slowly and be healthy than do it all at once.
Hexanoic 0 Posted May 16, 2011 Um yeah, I eat chocolate almost every day :) Usually it is around 100 calories or less. I read this thing once that Gillian Michaels eats Peanut Butter cups every day...if she can do it, so can I! Realistically, how miserable would your life be if you could never again have a piece of birthday cake, a cookie at the office, a piece of chocolate...The band usually won't let me go overboard on sweet stuff anyways since most bad stuff tends to be sticky (except ice cream - but even then, too much volume is bad). Le sigh, lettuce goes down juuusssst fine though!!!
CrazyKoKo 1 Posted May 16, 2011 I love SF chocolate pudding.. so that's what I go for when I'm craving the stuff. Sometimes I just gotta go for the good stuff though.. I just try to keep it in moderation!

Jodi_620 37 Posted May 16, 2011 Fudgesicles are great, they satisfy the choco craving in less than 100 calories sugar free. And I do eat chocolate from time-to-time. I go for the low sugar dark kind it is a healthier choice. I allow myself most foods in moderation choosing the healthiest version.
ocandjam 0 Posted May 16, 2011 I am only 2 weeks post op, but in general, See's candies Lollypops in chocolate work wonders. I think they are around 80 calories with about 2-3 grams of fat. They take a LONG time to finish and they are WONDERFUL.
