Last night I got a sun chip stuck! I have had a stuck episode before and slightly vomited with lots of slime but Ive never had pain. Last night after the chip was stuck I had slime and litle bit of vomit but I felt pain in my band area. I just drank some warm Water and went to bed. Today my stomach is sore. Is this normal? Do you think I could have caused band slippage? I was able to eat soggy Cereal for bfast with minimal pain. But now Im just concearned.

I don't think you caused any slippage. The pain is most likely a result of your stuck episode. My suggestion would be to either do all liquids today or stick to mushies to give your band a rest...you most likely have a bit of swelling going on and that should take care of it...

What is slime? I am only 3 weeks post op and haven't experienced this yet. Also my dietitian recommended taking papaya enzyme if I get stuck. I believe this helps break down the stuck food faster. I am going to see if GNC has it. Also how long does this stuck feeling last for?

My stuck goes away immediately after I vomit- lol. If I don't vomit it lasts a few minutes 15-20)

There are 2 types of Bandster: those who have been stuck, and those who haven't.....yet.

The "PB" slime portion may last a few minutes to a few hours, depending on a lot of variables.

Papaya does help break down Protein, but I don't think it will help with carbs.

My own "first stuck episode" was with triscuits. I thought I was going to die....but a secretary at my Drs office had been banded just a month before me, and helped nurse me through on the phone with good advise. I still can not tolerate triscuits, long a favorite in preBand years.

Most often, due to my own 'operator induced eating error' is where getting stuck has occurred. Careful review of others describing this experience leads to a wide range of foods but a fairly short list of eating errors. As part of the educational experience every Bandster needs to learn, I will leave that list to individual research.

One point I'd like to make: regardless of postBand time, overeating remains possible whatever name we give it. We Members of the Tribe of Overeaters must train ourselves in whatever discipline it takes to change that behavior.

cheers to all in our continuing journey

VERY WELL PUT!!! I figured I ate one sun chip too many and got stuck! i ate a total of 8 chips and should have had 7! i learned my lesson. lol will prob never touch another sun chip. and my sliming last anywhere from 10-20 minutes. I am new found restriction so its definatley a learning expierence! I been banded almost 3 months but just got fill 2 weeks ago and gave me slight restrictions! So now I have to relearn everything I threw out the window when food was going down so easily! LOL.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Lost my Pup last month and struggled really hard for that first month. Stopped tracking intake and slid into old habits here and there. Also quit working out. Can't walk in the neighborhood because of all of the memories we shared. Losing my Pup is the most heartbreaking thing I've ever been through. My Pup was my world 💔
Talked to my doc during my one year followup and they were not worried about my current status. They know, and I know, that I will get back on track.
