O.K.! WHEW! Can get confusing.......

First of all you need to stay on liquids for 3 days, then 1 day of mushies then try to eat when the swelling subsides. If that doesn't work, call your Surgeon.

Protein is a must for life. So try something different. You say you can eat Soup. I'm betting it's warm Soup. Do the same with your shakes. Use warm tap Water. Nothing Cold it won't go down, and it can just sit in that pouch for a while which does hurt.

So stay on liquids for a few days, go out and try a sample type of Protein Drink to see if it's better.

.

We were told not to Drink whey Product, because if you drink to much, it can be fattening. I have no idea if it is true, I'll have to read the container one day and see how much Protein is in it.

But that's my 2 cents.

Good Health to you, Shirley.

I think you are too full. Sometimes that subsides a couple days after you get your fill. Remember, you do not want to be too tight, it can cause you get stuck and lead to throwing up and slippage. Be really careful for a couple of days and if it doesn't get better you should have a little taken out. Keep up the good work!

I think you are drinking your Protein Shakes too cold. I can't drink anything cold or with ice. It has to be room temperature.

It sounds to me as if you are too tight. If you are still having a problem, I would get 1/2 cc removed. My office doesn't charge me if I have it done within a week. You should, also, try stay on Clear Liquids for a day or 2. My surgeon wants clear for 2 days, then full for 2 days. No mushies or food until 5 day. Hope that helps. Good luck Karen
