clevgal 0 Posted May 10, 2011 I am postop 3 weeks ready to start soft diet. I am concerned I am not cheating no real hunger issues but I am not losing an ounce. Anyone know why or what to do? Thanks.
reverie 49 Posted May 10, 2011 First 6 weeks are about healing. Put the scale away and focus on feeling better and giving your body the time it needs to heal. You just underwent invasive surgery; your body right now isn't looking to shed fat. It needs calories, nutrients, and everything else to heal properly. 1 LB_Annie reacted to this

EspeciallyKK 12 Posted May 11, 2011 I haven't lost much either. Everyone tells me this is normal and to allow 6 weeks for healing. Just follow your post-op plan! We will get there!!!

gMommy 4 Posted May 12, 2011 I understand your frustration. This is the exact reason I came online this morning. I just weighed myself because i am 2 weeks post op today. I lost weight the first week and nothing this week. I was wondering if other people experienced this too. I'm eating 800-1000 cal/day and started exercising this week. The first week was so excited seeing the scale change. My first fill is supposed to be 2 months post op. I know it is a long journey and not to expect to lose it all super fast. Sigh...it will eventually come off. I'm glad this support group is here. All of you really help makes this easier. Thanks for being there.
