I take ibuprofen. I don't do it often. I rely on tylenol for most things, but for cramps you need something else. I asked my doc and he said it was OK as long as I ate something with it.

I do wish these doctors could coordinate on the directions. It gets confusing for us mere mortals.

I've had bad cramps the day I get Tom also (minor cramps the 5 or so days prior). I had finally went to a gyn to get birth control to help it. I took it for a week and found it made me gain weight, feel more tired and hindered my calorie burn during my workouts (shown by my polar HR monitor) I stopped taking it as I did not like those effects. I'll go through one day of feeling like crap instead of the whole time having that. My mom recommended b complex and b6, so I'm trying that. Will see how it goes this month

Hey, i have the same issue, and i get terrible Migraines with aurA. Tylenol never worked and sure doesnt work now:( thankfully i had a NAPROXEN supository left from my surgery, it worked soooo fast.

I will ask my ob gyn if i can use that for my migrains and cramps during periods because the pain is not really tolerable and what worries me is also the nausea i get from the pain.

So ask them, naproxen soppository, on the internet it does say it is used for that!

Try a heating pad, or those disposable heat packs in the personal care area of the drug store if you're not at home.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
