Rachael 4 Posted May 8, 2011 My husband went to sheetz (a small convenience store that makes food to order and gas station) this morning. He brought me a Mother's Day surprise....a donut. I ate it and it tasted pretty good. Didn't really feel bad about going off the 1200 calorie diet today for a couple of reasons: 1. we have been working hard outside this weekend weeding and mulching (I spent 3 1/2 hours yesterday and another 2 hours today) and 2. it is Mother's Day and I haven't eaten anything "bad" for a long while. No bread...not sure if I can eat it or not...just decided to give it up. Here is the funny thing is: I didn't get stuck on the donut. I did get stuck for a couple of minutes after eating tuna fish with a cracker for lunch...LOL. I was eating too fast. Trying to get it down because my parents were here watching my kids and I wanted to get as much done as possible before they left. Not going to make a habit out of eating junk food, but I needed to confess. Thanks for reading,
nu2ywg 4 Posted May 8, 2011 I wouldn't feel bad about it either but hopefully your hubby will soon find other ways to surprise you that don't involve food...like flowers Happy Mother's Day!

Yeah, it wasn't his smartest move! At least he only brought three (my kids ate the other ones) and not a dozen. I can't really say anything to him since he tried...LOL Last year, he didn't get me anything.

Cindy C 150 Posted May 8, 2011 Everything in moderation!!! Your life doesn't end because you get a lap band!
reverie 49 Posted May 9, 2011 Yay @ no guilt. That's how it should be. food shouldn't be viewed as good and bad.
Nana1963 0 Posted May 9, 2011 I cheated today too. Haven't cheated once since I started my preop diet and I was banded on April 19th. My kids made me a ice cream sundae (w/fat free frozen yogurt) although the choc. Syrup canceled that out. I figure once cheat won't hurt me. Back on track tomorrow. teekii77 5 Posted May 9, 2011 Good for you! And like someone else posted food shouldn't be viewed as good or bad. And I'm so glad No one attacked you for confessing that. I did a little confessing myself the other day on here and you should go read all the stuff people said to. all I wanted to know is why eating the"Cheat" food so early didn't bother me? And it was like I broke some sacred lapband code!lol Why do we call this stuff bad food or cheat food anyhow? We should all be able to eat what ever we enjoy and can tolerate in moderation and not have to repent for it! GoodLuck to you
