Just wanted to say that having a period with a lap band makes your stomach feel like a giant Water balloon with a tennis ball inside.

That is all!

Here's my trick for chocolate cravings. I keep a bag of Hershey kisses in the freezer. The rule is I can have only one and I have to suck it...no chewing allowed. It takes a long time to suck one til its gone when its frozen and its only 25 calories. It cures my craving every time.

I am scheduled to have my surgery on May 24. My period should come on or around that day. Not looking forward to it. "It" always knows when to strike. I love the hershey kiss idea!!!!

I usually cant tell that I am on my period other than the obvious... no cramping, or anything like that.... but since I have had LB I know its here! I was at Zumba on Tuesday and I thought I was going to fall over from the pain from the cramps! I had to stop and go sit down! It hurt so bad that when I got home I took 2 of my pain pills I had left from surgery! It sucks!!!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
