BWOODSCGIRL 0 Posted May 8, 2011 Please somebody help calm my nerves. I am scared to death. I have been feeling sick for 2 days worrying about this surgery. I hope I'm making the right decision. I want to just reschedule but I know I can't.
isabella2 0 Posted May 8, 2011 Hi, I'm also scheduled surgery on May 9th. I've tried to push it put of my mind but its not working . The one thing I can say is that we must know deep in our hearts that this our chance to a better healthier life. I happened to be at the mall today and passed by Forever 21 and I smiled to myself- a store that I cannot buy in will soon be one of my favorites to shop in! We have to look at the positive instead of negative. It will be hard to adjust- but we will adjust. I know you will be successful- stay positive and lets check in with each other after our surgeries bandmate ;0)
vlp1968 83 Posted May 8, 2011 It is perfectly normal to be nervous about the surgery. Going under anesthia is a serious thing. However, these days they are able to monitor you so closely it's not as risky as it used to be. You are taking a huge step towards a healthier life. Congrats on your impending surgery! CheckYes 46 Posted May 8, 2011 I'm so excited for both of you starting this new journey to a healthy you. I'm five months out and (down 63 pounds) haven't regretted it for a moment. I know the idea of surgery is scary but it really is generally a simple procedure. I was home by 3:30 pm after my surgery which started at 12:30. There will be days where you think "What have a done?" but that will be fleeting. You can do this. Don't reschedule. It is completely normal to have fears about it but once you are losing and feeling better you will be writing this same message that I am writing to you to someone who is about to have surgery. I promise. Keep us posted.
