Fill doctors in Maryland?

Recommended Posts

Hello I'm glad I saw youre post. I'm sorry I can't help with your question but maybe you can help me. I'm gonna have my surgery also in Mexico but I haven't made up my mind who to go with. Right now I'm set on Dr. Alberto Aceves. Who did your surgery and do you recommend them. Your the first person in my area that I have found that went to Mexico and self paid. You help will really help me.

Carrie,

I just left Dr. Rickford's office in DC at Providence Hospital. He did the fill under flouroscopy. I too am a Mexico patient. Banded 12/2005. I was self pay at the time; however, we now have health insurance and his office billed Blue Cross/Blue Shield on my behalf.

BTW I live right down the street from you in Hanover, MD just across the streeet from Arundel Mills Mall.

Lisa

Hello Lisa thanks for the feedback. My I ask how was your experience in Mexico and Dr. Rodrigues. Also do you know if the Doctor at Providence would take self pay for the fills. I was born at Providence it's right up the street from me.

I don't see any reason why Dr. Rickford wouldn't allow you to self pay. It just means he gets his money faster.

My experience with Dr. Rodriguez was fine; however, you should be aware that Acuna is not a "rich" town. Police walking the streets with automatic type rifles. Very scary. After my surgery they came into the hospital looking for someone.

Dr. Rodriguez was perfect. His staff was perfec.t Haven't had an ounce of trouble with my band.

You can also consider Susan Brinkley for fills.

Dr. Rickford at Providence was great. Glad to have met him.

Hi Fellow Marylander's,

I live close to you (Lisa & Carrie) as well. I am in Pasadena.

I am scheduled to be banded by Dr. Rodriguez in Mexico July 14th. My mother-in-law and my aunt were both banded by Dr. R in Monterrey. They both loved him, and have had no problems.

My surgery will be done at the new hospital in Reynosa. Only about an hour from the Harlingen, TX airport.

Take care & would love to keep in touch,

Jane

I am being banded July 9th by Dr. Greene. I will be getting fills with him, but not sure if they will all be paid for by insurance. Any suggestions for other docs is greatly appreciated!!! TIA ;-)

Gerard, have you had your procedure? Who did you go with? Thinking about it also.

Dr. Babak Moeninolmolki at Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Towson did my lap band surgery, and continues to do my fills at the hospital. If insurance doesn't cover the fills, they charge $250 each fill. Not sure if he takes patients in which he didn't do their surgeries though. Telephone number is 443-849-3779.

His office is located on the campus of the hospital - at the Comprehensive Obestity Management Program (which I believe is part of the bariatrics program at GBMC). They also do fills on patients that didn't have their surgery done there - but they expect payment at the time of the visit.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Am feeling this right now. My surgery date is 4/1. Sign the consent tomorrow. I feel like I overloaded myself with too much info, too many opinions. Got to the point where I was wondering if I should do this. Then I thought of my reasons for taking this step and that settled my nerves. Still get moments of doubt but am striving forward. Am just going to follow my book from the surgeon. Joined this because I was told by my dietician that I should do this for support
