they sell those popsicle brand ice pops that are sugar free. sold at BJS or costco cant remember which one. also soups....

dont buy the canned low sodium fat free ones, they taste disgusting. if you can, make your own low fat Soup, its worth it. egg substitute for when your on mushies, Jello no sugar nonfat pudding cups are great, try to stay away from high sodium broths they are bad for you. if you can do low sodium do those.

but the best thing you will love are the sugar free pops :)

I am upset that that I will not be able to go to the meeting tonight as I do not have a car tonight. I do have to say that the meeting snuck up on me today. Lost track of the day's.

I do hope to make a meeting soon. Please let me know how it went.

So a quick update to all who followed.

I am having issues with throwing up, food getting stuck and I think its because I eat too fast. Also I am gaining weight again... I'm back up to 235... what steps should I take? I am starting to get worried!

is your band too tight? you should possibly go for an unfill. if you are too tight, you could gain weight even though you are not eating what you would consider to be a lot.

you should definitely talk to your doctor, make sure the band hasn't slipped, maybe get an unfil...SLOW down and chew, chew, chew. be present when you eat for a few days without distractions and see if that helps.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
