So here I am two months after surgery...lost about 15-20lbs and I can do so much better I'm just lacking motivation. I can eat pretty much anything in moderation so I'm contemplating trying Fatsmash out again...I've lost weight with this diet in the past but I was always hungry. I'm hoping bc I have the band now it'll be a little easier. I don't know if anyone is familiar w/ Fatsmash but it strict in the beginning and you add certain foods back in in each phase. Help

By the name, I am guessing it is quite low in fat. It's not surprising you were always hungry, fat helps us feel full. You also want to make sure you are getting in at least 60gms of protien. Personally, I swear by a low carb, high Protein and moderate fat diet. I eat cheese and nuts which contain some fat. I go for lean sources of protien like chicken and fish. I also love marinated pork tenderloin. I lost 107 pounds in about 10 months. Hope this helps! Good luck!

I agree with the poster above. Low fat diets are bound to make you hungry, and they aren't the safest. Your brain needs fat to work properly as does your heart and other organs. If you're going to "diet" do low carb/high Protein.< /p>

I had to go look it up to see what it was. I could never stick to that. First, it's just way too high in carbs for me and way too restrictive on fats, but hey...even while all the "experts" (she says laughingly) are arguing about the best 'diet', they all agree that the absolute best is the one you can stick with. So, if you can stick with this, then it's the best for you. :)

If you're looking for a diet to follow, I'd try South Beach. It's a similar set-up that is restrictive at first. It's low carb, high Protein. I did very well on it a couple of years ago. Though obviously I didn't stick with it or I wouldn't be here now ;)
