CALLING ALL HUGE WEIGHT LOSS PEOPLE

I WOULD LOVE IT IF PEOPLE THAT HAVE LOST A LOT OF WEIGHT TO COME HERE AND TELL TELL ME WHAT YOU EAT WHAT KIND OF EXERCISE. TELL ME EVERYTHING YOU WOULD LIKE TO. I FIND IT AMAZING HOW PEOPLE CAN LOSE SO MUCH WEIGHT. I AM STRUGGLE BAD. I NEED TO HEAR YOUR SUCCESS STORIES. THANKS EVERYONE

I'm down 115lbs in less than a year and I have 5-6 more to go and then I'll assess from there, but in a size 2 I'm not sure I can or want to get much smaller.

From the beginning I did a low carb diet, similar to South Beach. I stayed away from breads, rice, Pasta, fruit, etc. as I was a big carboholic pre-banding. I tracked everything I ate and still do today, religiously. I exercised since day one. I started off with just walking until I was cleared to do more strenuous exercising. I ran for a little while, bought a treadmill, but got bored of it so I moved onto Beachbody programs. I did slim-in-6, P90, P90M, and now I am on my second round of P90X.

Nowadays I truly eat what I want when I want but I keep it under 1800 calories to continue losing, but slowly. I don't keep myself from anything because I see no need. My problem pre-band was Portion Control and pure laziness; now both of those are gone.

Some would not call my weight loss "HUGE", but for me it is! I am a really slow loser and have come to terms with that. I basically eat what I want, since I've got good restriction I really don't over eat. I have been exercising, and that helps too.

YOU LOST 74 LBS THAT IS A BIG LOSS CONGRATZ TO YOU I NEED TO LOSE 90 LBS AND HAVING A HELL OF A TIME

Some would not call my weight loss "HUGE", but for me it is! I am a really slow loser and have come to terms with that. I basically eat what I want, since I've got good restriction I really don't over eat. I have been exercising, and that helps too.

I lost 107 pounds in about 10 months. I ate very low carb and low fat. Lots of lean sources of protien and veggies. After a few months I started working out. I started out walking on the treadmill, gradually increasing the intensity/duration. Now I walk for 1 minute jog for 4 for 40 minutes. It was very difficult to start working out but now it's second nature, just part of my day. Good luck!

To the Original Poster: Larger people tend to lose faster. Sorry to tell you that, but it's true. Just be glad that you don't have 190 to lose versus 90. :)

I've lost 195 lbs in 25 months. The first 100 came off the first 7 months.

Like the others, I eat low carb & low fat. I do eat some fruit, but the lower sugar ones like apples & strawberries. I don't eat pineapple or bananas. I avoid HFCS (high fructose corn syrup) as much as I can.. it's in everything!! .. even ketchup. :( Lean Protein is what I mainly buy.. 90/10 or better. I did not eat out for the first year after banding to make sure I had a very good idea of what portion sizes are and to avoid the higher fat foods that restaurants often serve. When we do go out, we avoid buffets.

I look up recipes on the web for lower calorie versions of things we like.

For exercise, the first 7 months the main thing I did was walk. Started walking down our long driveway and back. Every day I added a few more steps till I got to where I was walking a mile. Then 2 miles. After I had lost 100, I ventured into a gym and haven't looked back.

Just find some sort of movement that you enjoy.. it doesn't have to be a chore or painful, but it does need to be something you can stick with (and it's OK to change from one activity to another.. just don't STOP).

that is awesome congratz i do know heavier people lose more weight faster but i like hearing all the success hoping to inspire me more and not be so in the dumps about not losing for a year. i am on a yo yo effect right now i need a kick in the ass and have no idea how to do it i am hoping when my hubby goes to Iraq that will be a huge help then i do not have to cook for him it is way too hard when he is here

i believe another reason i might not be losing weight is i have PCOS and i have sever pain and exercise make it hurt more. so i haven't been exercising. i am looking into a hysterectomy. does anyone know if i do get a hysterectomy will they take all the Fluid out of the band for surgery?

Hello, I am down 150 pounds and it took me a year and a half to lose that. I am 20 pounds away from my goal weight and hope to be there by this August. The way I eat is all natural, and unprocessed foods. If It groans in the ground, roams in the field, swims in Water or flies in the sky I eat it. The options of what to cook are endless and surprisingly low in calories. As far as my workout goes, I started out just walking at the gym and doing Water aerobics to build up my stamina and self confidence. Now I no longer walk but I run 4 days a week along with pilates tower 2 times a week and TRX training once a week. I am sorry that you are struggling we all have days like that. Do you have proper restriction yet? That makes a big difference. Hang in there you can do it!

Just a quick fyi, a hysterectomy will not cure your PCOS. Research the insulin resistance component of PCOS. I have lost 80lbs in about 18 months, and I have PCOS. Try the lower carb, and excersize, even just walking. Good luck.

As of today I am down 89 lbs since being banded December 20th. I am super happy. I have a ways to go but am starting to feel so good about myself.

With me, I cut out alcohol, red meat, most grains and coffee. I calorie count and try to stay around 1000 - 1500 per day. Breakfast I eat oatmeal, lunch is typically a salad with tuna, low fat cheese and low fat dressing, dinner is typically fish and veggies. I try to get at least 1 Protein shake in a day and drink about 4 litres of Water. I average about 4-5 pounds a week. I walk an hour a day and see a trainer 3 times a week.
