Was anyone else hungry the day of surgery?

Hi Everyone! I just had my surgery today! hooray! I was supposed to stay at the hospital overnight, but they let me go home this evening becauseI was doing so well. I was just wondering, was anyone elso hungry the day of surgery? I am really hungry! I ate Soup, broth, Jello and a litttle bit of iced cream that they gave me at the hospital today but I had to make myself some soup when I got home tonight and then I ate some more jello too. I thought for sure that I wouldn't be interested in food today because of the surgery, but boy was I wrong! I think it may a long 6 weeks till I get a fill! Was anyone else this hungry the day of surgery?

I did wake up hungry the next morning after surgery.

YES!!! i was hungry when I woke up from surgery...

I was expecting not to be hungry but alas no such luck.

Gee, I thought I was abnormal. I was, also, hungry. I ate everything they put on my tray, (not much), and wanted more. My room mate, on the other hand, only played with her food. I guess as we all know, people are different. Our appetites are too! Good luck on your journey. Karen

I was hungry after surgery, but after that no so much so. I am banded 3 days now. Good luck.

I was hungry the day after the surgery. I'm a week post op and still on liquids. I just can't wait for solids to come. I am so tired of liquids. LOL!
