agdunkle 3 Posted April 25, 2011 Hi Everyone, I am 4 days Post-Op and having so many second thoughts! First, I am disgusted that I went into the hospital at 251 and 4 days later I am 253. I am starving and can't stop thinking about food. I know that the Lap Band is a tool and a majority of the work will be up to me and I am prepared. But it's discouraging that the scale is never in my favor - even now! I hear about people being able to walk around and even go back to work after a few days; I am aching and sore and can't imagine having to go back to work. WHy is ist that my experience is such a disaster????? UGGGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i didn't weigh myself for two weeks after and i was so swollen around my midsection that a size XL t-shirt wouldn't fit..and I normally wore a large. That's how I knew I was swollen and didn't even attempt to take measurements or my weight. Sometimes it's good to rest, but sometimes it's good to get up and walk around to get the soreness out. Everyone is different and it seems that some people take the surgery easier than others. You have to relax, focus on healing, and try and keep your mind off of food. Make sure you drink enough also, sometimes "hunger" is mistaken for dehydration.
