OMG! gas pains bringing me to tears!

Hey yall! I was banded yesterday 4/20 and was doing just fine until this afternoon. I'm having the worst gas pains I have ever felt (from the air of course) in my rib cage all the way through my back and my left shoulder is is the worst.

It hurts to sit or lay down but I can't stand up forever! I've been taking gas-x and just sent bf to the pharmacy for some infant gas-x .

What else can I do? I'm desperate..its been the only real pain...and its brought me into hysterical tears this afternoon.

Hi. I too was banded on 4/20/11. I consider my self lucky because my gas pains have been minimal. I am taking the gas-x strips.

I have quite a bit of pain but it is all in my stomach area.

One more thing, make sure you are walking quite a bit.

Hi there - I was banded on 4/19 and I'm having the same lingering gas pains - but mostly when I take a deep breath. The upper chest and shoulder gas pain is the worst! I just hope it goes away soon...I'm pretty sick of it by now! Hang in there!

Use a heating pad that helped me tremendously with the gas pains.

Yes, heating pad, and wave your arms in the air like a chicken. I know I know but it helps.

Sip warm tea, continue with the gas-x and make sure you get up and walk around. It should go away soon. Feel better!

I had this also. Real bad, so I know how u feel. I took maalox advanced and it didn't move it any faster but it eleviated the pain. The gas x strips and tabs didn't work for me. Good luck..
