Pinkygirl 34 Posted April 21, 2011 I don't know what this is?! But I got this little bUmp on the inside of my lip and it gets bigger when I keep biting it. Ughh
Humming Bird 275 Posted April 21, 2011 Go have your dentist look at it.
spoiltmom 44 Posted April 21, 2011 Is it liquid filled? If it is it's a blister and should go away in a few days. Try rinsing with warm salt Water 3-4 times a day. That will help dry it up faster.
kcharr77 0 Posted April 21, 2011 i had this upon waking up from surgery-i just assumed i had bitten my lip at some point while i was out or coming back around. A little salt Water on it did help-it only lasted 3 days-good luck!
ElizabethNYC 1 Posted April 21, 2011 Were you just recently banded?!!? Could be from the tube they put down your throat?
Pinkygirl 34 Posted April 21, 2011 No, I was banded in Decemeber 2010 and yes, I do remember a blister from the tube down my throat. But this is different. Also, when I went to my support group meeting at the doctor office, a lady mentioned her gums were peeling. Every since I heard that, now im getting something weird in my mouth. It must have to do with lack of something my body is not receiving. ughhh so frustrating! maybe I should go to the dentist!
Humming Bird 275 Posted April 22, 2011 Yes, if it is still there, go to the dentist. (hygienist here) Dentists look at mouths all day long. People here can not really help. You need someone to look at in the flesh, so to speak. It may have nothing to do with the band or a deficiency ..... It might just be a mucocele (MYOO-koh-seal) , a blocked salivary duct, but I couldn't say without seeing it. Those are no big deal, but can be very tender and annoying.
