Victoriana 10 Posted January 15, 2006 I wanted to know what kind of walking shoes that you guys use for walking exercise and I tried to use the search forum and couldn't get it to work for me. Ive used a computer for a few years and I think that I should be able to figure this one out, but every time I enter the fields and push the start search button, I get this screen that says you will be redirected bla bla bla:mad: and then it pops back the the search forum field and the fields are all blank, Is it just down or something?:angry sorry for the bad attitude! HarleyNana 10 Posted January 15, 2006 I typed in walking shoes and got tons of threads too. I think it's all a matter of personal choice. I would check at a sporting goods store, or go online and type in walking shoes advice or something like that. Good luck.
Iluvharleys 15 Posted January 15, 2006 The best ones I have found is Sketchers. I have bought the most expensive ones and they aren't near as good!
shanna 0 Posted January 15, 2006 I really love Ryka's. They're made specifically for women's feet and they have a nice cushion to them. Try a bunch on and see what works for you. Good Luck!
jobander 0 Posted January 16, 2006 My foot Dr. put me in New Balance 1122. They have great support and a good heel cushion. I have feet issues. I got mine off ebay about half price
Dody 0 Posted January 17, 2006 I love my New Balance walking shoes....they are so comfortable. For just everyday walking around it's all about Crocs. They are like walking on a pillow, but are not exercise shoes.
MerryHearted 20 Posted January 17, 2006 I highly recommend going to a good sports shoe store (Redmond Town Center has one -- Foot Zone) -- they can examine your gait as you walk and suggest a shoe for you. I personally love my Asics.
princess_n_thep 2 Posted January 17, 2006 New Balance walking shoes. Available at Kohl's for a decent price. Although my Asics are the ones that have held up the longest for running. But NB are more comfy for walking.

Wheetsin 714 Posted January 17, 2006 I'm hooked on the Asics GT-2100 series. SUPER comfortable. The meshing lets your feet breathe, you can literally feel the air coming into the shoe as you walk. Downside to this, which I learned the hard way, is these aren't shoes for the rainy day! My mother swears by Rockport but I have never tried them.
HeatherGurl 0 Posted January 17, 2006 I bought my walking shoes from Academy. They are New Balance Walking Shoes and very comfortable. I do not know the style number. Just be sure you get the ACTUAL walking shoes... I walked for 5 years in cute running shoes and couldn't figure out why I had shin splints so bad!
Marimaru 7 Posted January 17, 2006 I got a gift cert for Foot Locker and got some Nike's. The sales people there really don't know about shoes, they just have a job. The lady kept telling me how cute they were when I told her I wanted running shoes. I like them well enough, they did nicely on a full day walking around at an amusement park and they do fine when I walk for exersize or go to the gym, but next time I spend that much on shoes I'm going to a shoe store with a sales team that knows about shoes!
