please someone tell me this is just some crazy Water weight that will come back off......

during my pre op liquid diet-i lost a total of 8 lbs by surgery day which was friday...

so i just weighed myself and i am back up to what my original weight was?!?!? what on earth? is this normal?

Don't worry that happened to me too. I had surgery April 5th. I gained my Water weight back then it dropped back off. Just watch what you eat and make sure to drink 8 glasses of water a day.

They pump you full of saline through your IV on yor surgery day. It will go... Don't worry!

Totally normal. I went up about 10 pounds. They probably gave you at least 6-8 pounds in IV fluids alone, and when the body experiences traums (like major surgery) it rects by holding onto anything it can. It can be really frustrating and I didn;t start to lose for 2-3 weeks....I know it's hard, but try to stay off the scale until 3-4 weeks out. (yeah I know...right)

it will come off, and once it does you'll feel on top of the world!!!

I too came out of surgery weighing more than when I went in....it will come off...don't worry
