Clothe sizes have sure changed :0)

Recommended Posts

I brought down my summer cloths to swap out my winter cloths here in Michigan.

I found some Capri's that I wore last summer that were to big. Now yes they tie, so I could have

looked like I was wearing a potato sack this summer , but,,,,, I don't think so.

So I dug a little deeper in my box, and found summer cloths from when I lost weight the first time.

I'm glad I kept all of them. I went from a size 32 to a 22/24. Now some people are starting at where I ended up.

But what a difference in looks, and nice colors instead of Black, Grey, and Navy.

I found Yellows, Mint, Khaki, and well you get the idea. They look nice.

Just thought I would share the good news instead of vent.

Shirley.

Congrats! It's always good to get into smaller sizes! As I try on clothes now, if they're too big, they go into a pile for the goodwill. I don't even put them back in my closet. Love it!

Hurrah, great NSV,isn't it! I, also, giv ethem to Goodwill, or Salvation Army. My church has a 2nd hand clothing store, too. So, I hardly ever have any that don't fit in my closet. I don't want to ever have them fit again!!!!Karen

It sure does feel good ! Up North in Michigan where we live, you have a lot of women who are retired, and they have gotten heavy. You can go to Kmarts and buy up to a 4x. So these cloths in a second hand store, will go like wild fire, and will be put to good use.

When I lost the weight before I donated everything I had. So I had to re-buy for myself.

I'm glad to see it go.

Way to go girl! I've got 3 big bags of give away in my bedroom and I just keep adding to it. I'm down to virtually nothing to wear however but it's still fun throwing those bigger clothes in the give away pile. I just had surgery on 1/11 and I've only lost about 20-25 lbs but the inches are just ridiculous. I had a few pairs of 16w pants (tags still on) that I got into after my surgery and pre-op weight loss. I've been wearing them the last couple months (black, navy, brown and gray....) but they are now literally falling off of me. I don't have a big butt or hips, my weight is all in my boobs and belly so I need the womens size for the waist but then they're baggy in the crotch and hips. I got into a regular 16 dress pant over the weeked and 14w in jeans. So much fun getting a few new things. I can't wait until I can shop in the regular misses dept!

I know what you guys are talking about. I have one of those big tubs that every time something is too big I just throw it in the tub and put the lid on. It's actually pretty full, so hoping to deliver it to our Goodwill soon. I do have a

question to you all though, do you put your "too big" bras in the pile or throw them away. I've had several and I put them in the tub but the other day someone told me I shouldn't be giving those away to toss them. I would love your opinion. Thanks, Connie

Well I think if the bras were in great shape, I might give them away. I have some clothes in the next two sizes down, and then I plan to shop resale shops until I reach goal and then spend some money on the final size! I can't wait! I won't be buying elastic or shirts that don't tuck in for sure.

Times are bad, and if they are o.k., then give them away.

Give them away. If GW (or where ever) they can toss them.

Consider freecycle too. (www.freecycle.org). I've given away many unusual items via freecycle.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
