Italy Anyone?

Recommended Posts

Hey All....I was talking about a new goal in my life in this thread http://lapbandtalk.com/showthread.php?p=153422&posted=1#post153422

And that goal is to go to Italy. I got a tour package from Perillo Tours for $4129.00 on the black out dates. This is an all inclusive tour and tours the following cities: Palermo 2nights, Agrigento 1night, Taormina Lido 3nights, Sorrento 3 nights, and Rome 3nights. Its a fourteen day first class fully escorted tour~~~ FANCY STUFF...But my main point of interst is Palermo....My fathers family immigrated from there and I would love to just go there and see and explore. Im sure if I did the flight and hotel seperate that would be much cheaper. I want to take my son and shopping money of course, we are talking about $10,000.00!!!! And going back, we would spend only two nights in Palermo~~~ Palermo is Sicily's Capital.....sooo Im sure theres tons of things to see there...and experience there....

Anyone here ever been to Italy? How have you gone? Did you do the group tour or did you venture off on your own? I would like the safty of a group tour, but would love to come and go as I please!!! Hummmmmm I have time to figure it out. I dont have an extra 10 grand laying around that I have to deside on right now....but just doing my homework thats all. HEY I would have to get a pass port too! I dont have one of them!!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
