So my big day is so very soon. I am excited but not looking forward to the recovery. I am not the type of person that can lay around, so I need to be careful not to do to much. I already have too much scheduled for this weekend. I have a crop nite to go to for my scrapbooking club (which I need to go to because I get a free scrapbook this month) :D lol.

I also have a wedding shower to go to for one of my employees. And then her wedding the week after. So hopefully I can get at least hour into each of those. We will see.:(

I do have a question. Can you do cream Soups on the liquid diet (like Tomato or pea)? Or should those be saved for the mushies stage? I guess I can ask in the hospital on thursday, but am trying to get everything I need before hand.

Wish me luck!! :P

Yes, u can have cream soups for liquid diet. they do have to be strained though to get the chunks out. But for the first two days they have to be Clear liquids, like apple juice. good luck on thursday!

Hi

I am 10 days post op and I feel great. I was banded on a Wednesday. I ran errands on Friday and Saturday beacuse my son had Prom. I was a little sore and used a pillow in the car while driving but other that that I was good. I was back at work on Monday and I have been rolling along every since.

Creamy Soups are on my mushie list. It is different for each doctor.

Congratulations I wish you well :)

First off congrats and good luck!!! I was banded on Tuesday and on that Sunday I had a engagement party and felt fine! Just be sure not to over do it too much! I was not allowed cream Soups on my liquid diet afterward but was allowed them on my mushy phase as long as the chunks were drained out. I would call your surgeons office and check because each doctor differs.
