Kymba 1 Posted April 9, 2011 I am getting that as well. It is from the gas they blow our bellies up with during the surgery. It takes a few days to work its way through your system. Walking is the best thing to help move it around. i had my band on the 7th of april and it went really well..i have got this band pain tho in my left shoulder and it wont go i am walking around the house and stuff but it dont seem to make a differnce does everyone get this to ?? mjmkmom 0 Posted April 10, 2011 (edited) I also had mine on the 7th, I didn't start getting the pain until yesterday...... It was sooo bad last night I couldn't take it. What has helped is holding my left arm up over my head and pulling it with my right arm. I have had previous surgeries and it doesn't feel like the gas pains I have had in the past. I am going for my post op tomorrow and hope to get some answers..... Edited April 10, 2011 by mjmkmom
mjmkmom 0 Posted April 11, 2011 Well, I went today for my one week. It is referred pain from my diaphragm. Take smaller swallows, don't take big bites of Jello................. I did mention that this even happens in the evening when I am not eating or drinking. He asked to me to write down when it was happening and what I was doing. I called the doctor and they said it was from the hernia repair. It took 3 weeks before it got better.
