NEWME10 1 Posted April 8, 2011 Just wondering how some older bandsters are still doing? I haven't lost much at all but want to get back on the "band"wagon so to speak.

Sue Magoo 71 Posted April 8, 2011 Hi: First band July 2007, slipped sometime last Spring, new band July 2010. Starting weight 324, lowest weight 174, went up to 208 when band was slipped. Now maintaining around 188 to 192. Still love my band because it's my belly cop. There is so much left to the responsibility of the bandster - making the right choices, getting some exercise. Can't maintain without doing the right thing at least half of the week . Best wishes to the rest of you. Sue

cwm812 11 Posted April 8, 2011 I was banded in April 2008. I've lost 178 lbs and I've been working on maintenance for the last 6 months. I seem to go up and down about 5 lbs and I'm learning exactly how much I can eat without gaining weight. I wouldn't mind losing another 10 lbs, but I'm not actively working on it. 54Shirley 105 Posted April 9, 2011 Banded 10/31/06 They thought the band blew and the surgeon wouldn't touch it. Now 3 1/2 yrs. later, I went under fluoroscopy, and there is nothing wrong, It was deflated, and he wouldn't fill it, So I found a new surgeon, and I meet with him next week. I hope to lose the weight again, with proper aftercare. Shirley.
