Goal is close, how to maintain

Recommended Posts

Ok, I’m getting close to my goal weight. So once I get there how do I maintain without losing below my goal. I’m still eating about 4 to 4 ½ oz meals. That’s all I can handle right now. Any suggestions would be great. Should I try to add a extra meal in somewhere?

I am actually in the same boat. I have 20 lbs left to go and want to make sure I don't go below my goal weight or loose too much to look sick.

Congrats on being close!!

I've found that the weightloss slows down to an almost stop anyway, so there is not really much that needs to be done or changed to maintain.

You may find if you continue how your eating, your weight loss stops. If it doesn't, and you can't eat anymore you may need a slight unfill. Congrats on being so close to goal!

Arriving at goal is half the battle, maintenance is the other half....let's face it we are all good at gaining and losing but not so experienced in maintaining. I have found that journalling also helps during the M phase. You pretty much know what you have been eating and burning to get where you are. Not making any changes in intake or exercise should result in a stable weight. Ah, but life creeps in...a little drink here, a pice of cake there, a buffey you say? All of these temptations and more will still be in your life and how you deal with them is the real work of Maintenance. It is a good idea to plan ahead for weight fluctuations and pre-decide at what number of pounds you will take redial action and just what that remedial action will be.... it is a real journey we have undertaken.

Best wishes and congratulations.

Mimi

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
